PAINTED TURTLE ARTS PROGRAMS (CANADA)

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Right To Play partners with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children facing adversity. Play currently reaches 87 communities across Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia, who currently deliver weekly play-based programs that encourage physical activity and build skills for healthy living, developing healthy relationships, promoting education and increasing employability

WHAT CREATIVE DEEDS WILL DO

• Creative Deeds in Partnership with the Painted Turtle after school arts program provides arts based training and resources for community mentors.

• The program utilizes 5 modalities in its curriculum: visual arts, dance, drama, songs, and chants.
