SCROLL TO SEE THE PROJECTS WE ARE CURRENTLY SUPPORTING
Almost six year ago, Haitians around the capital city of Port-au-Prince were devastated by an earthquake that killed over 230,000 people and left hundred of thousands more injured or displaced. INAMUH (Institute de Musiqued’Haiti) is a new program in Terre Cassée, dedicated to teaching music to young students; instruments like the violin or drums so they can perform local songs in youth orchestras.
Funding this Creative Deeds campaign builds a music school to help the school teach more students which encourages attendance, gives them a new skill and empowers them with a new sense of confidence.
In order to help children in Afghanistan, Jordan and Iraq reclaim their childhood, War Child operates 45 child friendly spaces across the country providing children room to be children, restoring their creativity and providing them a place to play and learn out of harm’s way.
Creative Deeds campaigns funding this project can help provide creative and educational programming to over 18,000 beneficiaries.
Right To Play in partnership with the Painted Turtle Arts Camp work with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. This program uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children facing adversity.
Creative Deeds fund weekly play-based programs which encourage physical activity and build skills for healthy living, developing healthy relationships, promoting education and increasing employability.
Waves of Hope in Nicaragua helps communities design their path out of poverty by ensuring building blocks for success are delivered: clean water solutions and local infrastructure improvement. Arts programs have no government funding despite the evident passion for arts among the youth.
Creative Deeds campaigns will fund a long term sustainable 3 pronged arts program in this community which will involve once a week classes for music, visual arts and dance based out of the local high school classroom facilities.
